Keith Walmsley

Keith A. Walmsley

Mr. Walmsley spent fifteen years as a trusted advisor to the Chair of the Ways & Means committee. He has worked with House leadership on many levels, heading up the Office of The Majority Leader, working in the Whip operation and for a decade acting as principal policy writer for the Chair of the Education Subcommittee. His policy expertise extends to gaming law, business development, state revenue policy and K-12 education.

Keith is known for his no nonsense approach to some of the most complex legislative and regulatory issues facing the State, whether that is devising complex revenue solutions, working to empower the States special education system, or seeking to strengthen workforce development efforts and bolster Maryland’s employers; he has focused his efforts on helping to maintain an economic environment that favors, growth, equity, and access.

Immediately prior to leading Walmsley Strategies, Keith spent a year and a half as a Special Appointment to the Executive branch helping to oversee the policy needs of an at-risk population. He has served on many boards and commissions over the years.

Mr. Walmsley holds an undergraduate degree from Towson University
